1. Medical service portfolio

Complete spectrum of the operative and conservative treatment of diseases of the kidney, the ureter, the urinary bladder, prostate gland and urethra, the testis and penis including andrology, neurourology, and aging-male concepts. 

  2. Specific main focuses of medical care

• Operative treatment of the prostate carcinoma (maintaining continence and virility) with selective lymph node resection (Schildwächter method)
• Diagnostics, operative treatment and chemotherapy of urologic tumors (outpatient and/or inpatient): urinary bladder, testicular. and penis carcinoma with resection of sentinel lymph nodes
• Urine drainage methods and urinary bladder replacement therapy in the course of urinary bladder excision
• Operation or radio frequency ablation of kidney tumors (in cooperation with the Clinic for Diagnostic Radiology and Neuroradiology) 
  
• laparoscopic operations (kidney, adrenal gland, and other)
• Treatment of the benign enlargement of the prostate by open and endoscopic therapy (TURP, transvesical prostatic adenomectomy, TUI-P, greenlight laser, etc.)
• Therapy of stone diseases of the urinary tract from the outside by shock wavers (ESWL)
• Endoscopic (minimally-invasive) stone therapy (URS, PNL with laser litholapaxy, lithoclast)
• Plastic correction of complex urethra strictures, urethra surgery including free transplants (mucous membrane of the oral cavity)
• Gynecologic urology (conservative and operative incontinence therapy)
• Perioperative pain therapy and tumor pain therapy (in cooperation with the Anesthesiology)
• Pediatric urology (together with the Clinic for Child Surgery)
• Urine diagnostics, urine cytology
