Neurosurgical care of patients with diseases and injuries of the brain, the spinal marrow, the spinal column, and the peripheral nerves – neurosurgical pain therapy

2. Specific main focuses of medical care

• Treatment of benign and malignant tumors of the brain and spinal marrow in established cooperation with the Radiotherapy Clinic and the II. Medical Clinic (Oncology) in the house
• Operative treatment of dilations of the brain supplying arteries (aneurysms), cooperation with Neuroradiology) and vascular malformation (angiomas)
• Surgery of the pituitary gland Treatment of craniocerebral and spinal marrow injuries
• Therapy of cerebral hemorrhages   Therapy of disorders of the cerebrospinal chamber system (hydrocephalus) with implantation of shunts
• Degenerative disease of the spinal column such as herniated vertebral disks, sliding vertebra, osteoporotic changes of the spinal column, inflammatory diseases, malformations and tumors of the spinal column and the spinal marrow
