Sector General and Visceral Surgery

  • Surgical and minimally-invasive (endoscopic / laparoscopic keyhole surgery) at benign and
    malignant diseases of all organs of the intraabdominal space:
  • Esophagus, stomach, small and large intestine, appendix, straight intestine, pancreas, liver (surgery of benign and malignant liver tumors, metastases surgery), gall bladder and passages, spleen, abdominal membrane
  • Placement and relocation of artificial anus (stoma)
  • Operations of bowel hernias (hernia of the groin, navel, etc.)
  • Proctologic interventions: hemorrhoids, fistula, abscesses, fissures, and other
  • Diseases of the thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal gland, and lymph nodes
  • Surgical therapy of chronic wounds
  • Complex interventions at the esophagus, liver, and pancreas
  • Esthetic and oncologic surgery of the breast and soft tissues
  • Since July 2007, the Sector General and Visceral Surgery is an acknowledged  “Reference Center for Surgical Coloproctology”

 


Sector Transplantation Surgery and Hepatobiliary Surgery

  • Kidney transplantation, in particular also living donation
  • Treatment of patients with diseases of the liver and gall passages: Diagnosis and
  • Treatment, e.g. in cases of benign and malignant tumors
  • Extensive outpatients’ activities
  • Preparation and aftercare of patients before and after organ transplantations (particularly kidney, liver, pancreas)
  • Emphasis – optimizing of the medicinal, particularly of the immune suppressive therapy  3. Further services offered
